This is a ghost story based on two short stories by Clive Barker. The world has ghost highways and on the crossroads of these highway's the ghosts leak to the real world, they want to tell their stories. In the movie a team of parapsychologists examines one of those crossroads. The crossroad is found by accident because a girl is taken care of by the ghosts because she didn't listen to them (it was a goth girl, having sex and seances at the crossroad, which happens to be her bedroom in the attic of a house) "Don't mock us" they write on a wall. A good advice if you see what they do to the girl.

One member of the team is a student who is clairvoyant. He sleeps in the bedroom where the girl died. This way the team hopes to prove that ghosts are real.

I really liked this movie. The mark of Barker is there. It is an epic ghost story, or that is at least how I experience it.

If Clive Barker is involved in a movie, Doug Bradley isn't far away either. Dough played Pinhead in the Hellraiser movies and has a small cameo appearance in Book of Blood :)
