description: animation, end of the world (post apocalyps), mother, pregnant, child, traing, red rain, banded man.
(Geoffrey): (rating 8.5)
Now here is a movie, on which the CGI animation is very ok, but getting old quite quicly. The characters are still paintings and the main character is told through a woman. It is really the art of storytelling movie. Without that, the movie would not be worth watching. The woman does a breathtaking job telling the story. The animations suits ok, though you sometimes have the feeling reading/hearing a comicbook.
Why an 8.5? Well, the movie was quite slow, but slowly the teller gets her spell on you. At least that is what she did to me. You get drawn, drawn and more drawn into the story. It's like you are getting hypnotized. Now I must say that I sometimes had the urge to fell asleep. I took redbull to keep me awake, because I desperate wanted to see the end. So I got sucked away in it. She is riding on a train, getting through all kinds of places, even the red water. The red rain shows the end of everythin that happened. She meets guis, like the banded guy who helps her.
I don't want to say more. try it. It is quite short, but felt like I was watching it for a long time.
