Impressions day 1
02:59 | Author: Joost

The last few days have been hectic since I was working on two short films, and with my brother becoming a father for the first time. I had barely enough time today to sort out the printing of our T-shirts, made my way to the Tuschinski Art House theatre, greet Geoffrey and then see my opening film of the festival.

Funny to see plenty of familiar faces, the extended AFFFF (family) consisting of old time volunteers, crew members and the usual festival attending suspects.

Right after ordering my first coffee I realized that I had conveniently forgotten that the in-house coffee is of a lousy quality, has the size of a thimble and costs €1.80... Methinks the Coffee Company will do some good business the coming ten days thanks to us.

I (re-)realized the positive thing about watching films during a festival: find a seat, chat a little, the lights dim and the opening titles of the film start. No adverts, no trailers, just you, the rest of the crowd and the film!
